I took these two pictures when I went to metro on the weekend. The light during that time was not ideal. I was facing the light and almost all the pictures were too bright even I limited the aperture. The first one is the "classis" metrotown sign that I am sure everyone would take a picture of. The second one I took when I was on a journey in the backside of metrotown. I was walking around the loading dock and saw a group of boys on their skates. They allowed me to take pictures of them and I used a fast shutter speed to capture an instant when one of the boys was trying to make a move. I really like the second one because it is completely different from the typical metrotown that people recognize.
These two pictures were inspired when I was eating apples. The sliced apples along with a peach seed I just finished made me think of flowers. In nature, flowers can be symmetrical or asymmetrical. Personally, I enjoy assymetrical flowers more. Not only because it is more appealing to me but also more interesting as a subject of a photograph.
This picture tries to mimic Fred Herzog's street photography with an atmosphere of still and pensive(might not have been successful). The only editing done was cropping. I cropped with the golden ratio grid which I like the most. I also tilted the angle so that it allows me to crop the black stick that was snatching the subject highlight.

When I was walking around the school, the holes that hide in the corners attracted me. The first one I kneed down and closed my eye to take a shot. The second is a shot of a recycling bin. The third is a pattern with Jerry's feet in the picture. Fourth is the water fountain's sensor. Fifth is a electric socket near the robotics room. Sixth is a planned picture of a picture within a picture. I tried not to care about lighting and focus when I am taking them. That is why they are bad holes. | Theme: Bad Holes. |
